The Community Foundation of Elkhart County is pleased to announce the addition of four new team members, including Alex Strati as the Director of Professional Advisors. These strategic hires reflect the Community Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its impact and deepening its engagement with donors, professional advisors, and the broader Elkhart County community.
Alex Strati joined the Community Foundation in January 2025 as Director of Professional Advisors. In this role, he will support financial and legal professionals who assist individuals with estate planning, helping to facilitate charitable giving through the foundation. Strati brings extensive experience in banking and finance, having previously served as the Michigan Region CEO of Old National Bank, as well as leading commercial and private banking teams for over two decades in the Michiana region. His leadership roles in community organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County and United Way of Elkhart County, further highlight his dedication to service and philanthropy.
Additionally, the Foundation welcomed three other new team members in recent months:
- Karla Beasley, who joined in November as Assistant Director of Pumpkinvine Trails Coalition, brings valuable expertise and passion for community engagement to the organization.
- Vanessa Adcock joined the team in December as an Event Support Associate for the organization’s numerous events for nonprofit education and donors.
- Andy Murray started in January, overseeing the Building Strong Brains and Pumpkinvine Trails Coalition as Director of Strategic Initiatives.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alex, Karla, Vanessa, and Andy to the Community Foundation,” said Pete McCown, President of the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. “Their collective experience and dedication will be instrumental as we continue our mission of inspiring good and improving the quality of life in Elkhart County.”
The Community Foundation of Elkhart County is committed to making a lasting impact by supporting donors, nonprofits, and community initiatives that foster growth and positive change.
