Community Foundation of DeKalb County Announces Second Quarter Grant Funding

The Community Foundation of DeKalb County is thrilled to announce the recipients of its second quarter grants. These grants are part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that positively impact the community. By providing financial assistance, The Community Foundation DeKalb County empowers these organizations to continue their valuable work and drive positive change.
Grants Awarded:
- Honor Flight Northeast Indiana – awarded $7,000 for Flight #49
- DeKalb County Community Orchestra – awarded $1,700 for operational support
- Alliance Industries – awarded $1,360 for upgrades to their facilities to incorporate the principles of universal design
- St. Joseph School – awarded $3,000 for materials to further implement the Science of Reading curriculum
- Warm A Heart Community Outreach, Inc. – awarded $5,000 for capacity building and $2,000 for their 2024 Christmas Shop
- Northeastern Center, Inc. – awarded $20,000 for their School Navigator program in DeKalb County
- Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana – awarded $2,500 for the 2024-2025 Girl Scout Leadership Experience in DeKalb County
- Hope’s Harbor – awarded $3,000 in operational support
- Stillwater Hospice – awarded $2,500 in operational support
- Anthony Wayne Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped & Blind – awarded $7,500 for capacity building- specifically for staff members to receive ASIST Training
- IMPACT Institute – awarded $10,000 for welding booths
- Super Shot, Inc. – awarded $2,500 for operational support for their work in DeKalb County
“We're thrilled to support these remarkable organizations committed to community service, believing firmly that our grants will empower them to amplify their already significant positive influence,” stated Tanya Young, Executive Director.
