Community Foundation Alliance Releases Annual Report

Friday, March 3, 2023

The Community Foundation Alliance released its FY22 Annual Report highlighting donors, grantmaking, and accomplishments throughout the nine-county affiliates this past fiscal year. Affiliate community foundations are located in Daviess, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties.

“Through the generosity of our donors and important community partners the Community Foundation Alliance has been able to continue to grow and positively impact more residents than ever before within our local communities,” said Jill Carpenter, President and CEO. “In FY22, donors contributed $4.6 million in gifts. While the economic landscape has provided challenges, donors have supported the needs of their communities and attributed to the success of our grantmaking.”

The Community Foundation Alliance awarded more than $6.1 million in grants and scholarships to nonprofit organizations and students throughout our footprint and recommended an additional $1.7 million in scholarships for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program.

With more than $127.4 million in assets, the strategic investment strategy is structured to maintain and grow principal, thereby increasing the amount that is available to grant over the long term. Due to strong investment performance in the prior four years, the organization has maintained positive rolling returns over the past three and five-year periods.
