CFBC Announces 2025-26 Boone County Leadership Cohort
The Community Foundation of Boone County has announced the 2025 Boone County Leadership (BCL) program cohort, consisting of 20 individuals who live in and/or serve Boone County.
BCL aims to develop a county-wide leadership network, equipping participants to become responsible, active, and well-informed citizens who are ready to collaboratively address local issues, embrace the growth coming to our community, and help Boone County excel as an exceptional place to live, work, and play. The curriculum provides a well-rounded education about important issues and facets of the county, while guiding participants on an intentional journey to further develop leadership skills. By the end of the program, individuals will be connected with like-minded people ready to get more involved in the community and drive positive change.

The cohort will meet one day per month for nine months, beginning in August 2025. The program covers existing and emerging issues surrounding topics such as agriculture, health/wellness, human services, local government, economic development, education, civic engagement, and the role of philanthropy. The first BCL class graduated in 1991. Since that time, more than 300 of Boone County residents and working professionals have successfully completed BCL.
