Carroll County Community Foundation Earns Accredited Status

Tuesday, October 29, 2024

The Carroll County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that for its 6th time it has earned National Standards Accreditation through Council on Foundations. This accreditation ensures that the Foundation operates at the highest level of standards from policies to transparency with the community it serves and everything in between. The Foundation staff and the team at Council on Foundations spend countless hours reviewing policies and procedures to ensure that the organization meets all of the requirements to be an accredited Foundation.

The National Standards program is led by the Council on Foundations. The program requires community foundations to document their policies for donor services, investment, grantmaking and administration and provides quality assurance to donors, as well as to their legal and financial advisors.

“The process to renew our accredited status is an excellent opportunity to carefully review policies and procedures,” said Todd Moser, president of the Foundation. “I’m incredibly proud of the hard work all that are involved at our Foundation do. From the staff to the board to committee members, everyone makes it possible for us to achieve the operational standard required to be an accredited Foundation. National Standards Accreditation confirms for our donors and supporters that they can trust that our organization is operationally and legally sound.”

The National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations Board is a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations and is responsible for the quality, value and integrity of compliance with National Standards.
