(Muncie, Indiana) Ball Brothers Foundation has expanded its programming staff and appointed Donna Munchel to the dual position of program officer and grants manager. Effective immediately, Munchel joins colleagues Jenna Wachtmann and senior program officer Rich Spisak in managing all facets of BBF’s grant-making process. This includes researching potential projects, monitoring active initiatives, tracking grant results and conducting post-grant evaluations for the BBF governing board.

“Since joining BBF in 2005, Donna has played a key role in our efforts to streamline the way we do business,” said Jud Fisher, the foundation’s president and chief operating officer, who made the announcement. “We’ve moved from spreadsheets to an online grants management system, redesigned our website, expanded our role in covening like-minded organizations, and looked for new ways to serve the community. Donna’s skills helped us initiate all these changes, making her the obvious choice when our growing workload indicated the need to add a program officer to the team.”

Munchel is a lifelong resident of Muncie and a graduate of Ball State University. Before joining BBF, she was employed by her alma mater for 11 years, first in the admissions department and then in the development office.

Ball Brothers Foundation will begin a search soon for an additional staff person to fill the position of executive assistant/communications coordinator. More information will be forthcoming on the BBF website and Facebook page.
