Project Coordinator
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the operations and workgroups of the Morgan County Mental Health Task Force (MCMHTF), including management of the Morgan County Opioid Settlement Grants.
Organization Overview
The Kendrick Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2001 as a vehicle to assist health-related programs benefiting residents of Morgan County.
Formed from the proceeds of the sale of Kendrick Memorial Hospital, the Kendrick Foundation reflects the long service of the hospital to the health of the community. It has become an extension of the life work of William Kendrick, M.D., and all who preceded him in the 100 years of service given at Kendrick Memorial Hospital.
The Kendrick Foundation is leading health initiatives for Morgan County. With assets over $30 million, the Kendrick Foundation invests in conditions that support the physical and mental health of all Morgan County residents. The Kendrick Foundation is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors who is responsible for the oversight of its investments, grants, and scholarships.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator is a full-time, salaried employee (FTE) of the Kendrick Foundation. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the operations and workgroups of the Morgan County Mental Health Task Force (MCMHTF), including management of the Morgan County Opioid Settlement Grants. The Project Coordinator also assists with other Kendrick Foundation strategic areas, projects, and tasks as assigned, which may include basic office management duties.
This position operates under a hybrid work model and offers health care coverage, retirement benefits, and other standard employment benefits. The role is a 50/50 grant-funded position, jointly supported by the Kendrick Foundation and a two-year award from the Morgan County Opioid Settlement Grants. Continued employment is likely contingent on ongoing grant funding.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
Organizational & Project Management Skills
- Organize and facilitate meetings for the MCMHTF and its workgroups.
- Prepare detailed meeting minutes, consolidate notes from multiple groups, and maintain documentation using Google Docs.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met.
Communication & Collaboration Skills
- Serve as a liaison among the MCMHTF executive committee, workgroups, county officials, and grant recipients.
- Maintain strong MCMHTF member relations and foster positive, professional communications with diverse stakeholders.
- Promote collaboration and information sharing across MCMHTF workgroups by scheduling and facilitating cross-group meetings.
Digital & Platform Proficiency
- Manage grant applications and reporting through the Smarter Select online platform.
- Oversee communications via email, social media, and other digital channels.
- Utilize collaborative tools such as Google Docs for document management and information sharing.
Grant Administration & Compliance
- Administer Morgan County Opioid Settlement Grants, including application review, reporting, and compliance tracking.
- Provide guidance and support to grantees, including scheduling check-ins, conducting site visits, and clarifying reporting requirements.
- Ensure all grant-related deliverables are met in coordination with the MCMHTF local opioid settlement funds workgroup and county officials.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented Abilities
- Support implementation and tracking of the MCMHTF strategic plan.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in documentation, reporting, and communications.

- Demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, multifaceted environment.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to foster collaboration, navigate digital platforms, and oversee grant processes in a detail-oriented and proactive manner. This FTE position offers the stability of full-time employment and comprehensive benefits as part of the Kendrick Foundation team, with funding support from both the Kendrick Foundation and the Morgan County Opioid Settlement Grants. An undergraduate degree is preferred but not required.
