Executive Director, Pink Ribbon Connection (PRC) - Do you have compassion for women dealing with breast cancer? Do you get excited about leading an organization that provides critical breast cancer support products (Prostheses, Bras, Wigs, etc.) plus education and peer counseling without regard to income or insurance status? Cancer is expensive and stretches the resources of most patients, but all products and support from PRC are provided at no cost.
Since 2006, Pink Ribbon Connection has expanded its reach and support to survivors across the state of Indiana. Survivors could experience Pink Ribbon as a referral from their local healthcare provider, a connection to peer counselors and support in their own community, a visit to the PRC office in Fountain Square to select and fit products to make their lives easier, attending an educational event with other survivors, or a compassionate listener to hear their concerns and receive a warm referral to a community partner who can help with the specific needs they have today.
The retiring leader shares that no two days are alike and the role requires personal flexibility with the ability to put people and relationships first. Working with survivors can be incredibly emotional, but also extremely rewarding. The small team means that everyone pitches in and the work includes handling and moving boxes of supplies within the office and out to community fairs. The new leader will bring fundraising and marketing experience and comfort using technology to expand our reach and engage survivors across the state. Experience leading in a nonprofit setting is important. Healthcare familiarity is helpful but not required. Basic Spanish language helpful but not required.
Compensation – $85,000, PTO, plus contribution toward health insurance.
