Chief Executive Officer, Family Promise of Hendricks County (Indiana) – Do you have a heart for helping individuals and families in their time of need? Family Promise exists to prevent and end family homelessness by offering a variety of programs and services that can address an immediate crisis and reduce the cycle of homelessness in the future.
Family Promise has grown by identifying needs at a grassroots level and rallying community support. With multiple program sites across Hendricks County, Family Promise focuses on empowering people by providing a spectrum of services, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, housing referral, rental subsidies, and immigration services. This opportunity is created by the recent departure of a long-term leader.
Family Promise is searching for a compassionate, service-minded CEO who will lead the organization to provide the best possible outcomes for individuals and families. A key to success will be their approachable and engaging style, transparent leadership, and willingness to listen to and empower staff and volunteers. The ideal leader will have experience strengthening the systems and processes to support a growing organization.
Core responsibilities include fundraising, serving as the organization’s face in the community, leading and mentoring the staff leadership team, ensuring equitable access to services, supporting strong volunteer engagement strategies, overseeing marketing and communications functions, and providing board support and development. Annual budget of about $3 mil and capable staff team of 25 full-time and part-time staff and contractors.
Compensation: $125k plus PTO, contribution toward health insurance
