Nonprofits are managing an array of complex challenges on top of growing community needs and shrinking resources from the public sector. Many foundations are exploring how they can do more to support their grant partners. One key strategy under active consideration by both public and private foundations is increasing their grantmaking payout.

In this deep-dive virtual discussion, CMF's Experts in Residence, Brittany Kienker, Ph.D., and Jennifer Oertel, will define payout and how it’s calculated, and walk us through key considerations to bring to your staff meeting and boardroom if your organization is considering this approach. We’ll also review short- and long-term impacts of increasing payout and lastly explore similar, alternative strategies that can help foundations meet the goal of stepping up support for nonprofits.

Note: This interactive session features the CMF resource, “Key Considerations About Increasing Grantmaking Payout,” designed for private foundations, community foundations, and other public charity grantmakers.
