The Truth about DAFs

At a time when Donor Advised Funds (DAF) are being vilified on the national stage, it is critical that philanthropy professionals band together to correct the narrative and protect this impactful tool from current attempts from both the IRS and members of Congress to dismantle them. The DAF Research Collaborative (DAFRC) conducts empirical research that enhances the public understanding of donor advised funds. This year, they released the National Study on Donor Advised Funds which is the most extensive independent study on DAFs to date and dispels many of the misconceptions that threaten the survival of viable DAFs.  Hear from Jeff Williams of the Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University as he walks through the study’s findings and what they might mean for the future.
