This is a one hour session that is more conversational (versus a formal presentation) about Alternatives and the role they play in Portfolios.  This is a small gathering for about 15 to 20 people.  It will be tailored towards institutional investors, but applicable for others as well.

Agenda

  • Are Alternatives appropriate and how much should be allocated?
  • What role do Alternatives serve in a portfolio?
  • How to know if your organization is ready/equipped to succeed?
  • Challenges of Implementation/Manager Selection
  • Challenges of Evaluation—Keeping the appropriate Time Horizon in mind; Absolute Return vs. Relative Return Evaluation
  • Investment Policy Considerations
  • Open Discussion/Q & A

This session will be informative and foster constructive discussion among attendees who may already be invested in Alternatives or considering their merits as we face what we believe will be a challenging environment for investors with spending needs.
