Navigating Your Grantwriting Journey
This full-day, interactive workshop at Nexus (9511 Angola Court, Indianapolis, IN) will guide you through the grant-seeking process. You will learn how to research funders that align with your mission, understand what funders expect and are looking for in competitive proposals, how to build authentic relationships, and write a draft of your proposal.

About the Facilitator
Falicia Brewer, Senior Consultant and President of Brewer & Associates, is a lifelong resident of Indiana. An entrepreneurial executive with almost two decades of experience in the nonprofit industry, she has leveraged over $98 million dollars on behalf of her clients. Ms. Brewer received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Master’s Degree in Political Science, as well as a Certificate in Facilitation from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. She also possesses a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Fundraising School in Indianapolis, Indiana and is a 2023 Mutz Philanthropic Leadership Institute participant. Her skillsets focus on fund development, organizational development, and business development.
Falicia is an advocate of empowerment that meets leaders where they are as she guides them to achieve a common goal. These skillsets include services such as program management, start-up and business development, business development coaching, human resources, project management, training, proposal writing/administration, board development, strategic planning, public outreach, event planning, and coalition building.
As a national facilitator, Ms. Brewer has presented at local, state, and national conferences. In addition, she is an author and served as an Adjunct Faculty Professor at Indiana University Northwest in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
