Indiana Community Foundation Boot Camp

Marie Felver, CPA joined the Hancock County Community Foundation in Greenfield, Indiana in 2011 as the Finance Officer after starting her career in public accounting. She now serves the Foundation as Vice President of Finance and Operations, and her expanded responsibilities include managing internal operations, human resources, and technology in addition to finance and accounting. Marie is also the property manager for the foundation’s three properties. During her time at the foundation, Marie played an integral role in managing complex gifts, establishing a supporting organization, designing and implementing accounting procedures for three 24-hour Match Days, and transitioning the organization to a new database. Marie enjoys giving back to her community, both through her involvement with the Foundation and other volunteer activities. 

Eric Hessel started working with the Community Foundation in 2003 as a youth grantmaker and has since worked in both the direct service and funding areas of nonprofits. Prior to joining HCCF full time, Eric worked in youth programming and with the US Census Bureau, in addition to building relationships in the local community that assist in strategic and effective grantmaking decisions. Eric grew up in Pittsboro and currently lives in Carmel, IN with his two dogs.

Chad started with the Tipton County Foundation in 2014 as the education program officer, coordinating scholarships and education grantmaking. In his current role as program director, he manages the Foundation's grantmaking, works with local government and non-profits on project management and fundraising, and coordinates community leadership efforts. Chad spends the majority of his free time as a board, crew, and cast member with the local community theatre.

Meagan Niese is the Development Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County. She has been in nonprofit fundraising leadership for more than 15 years and is a Certified Fundraising Executive. Meagan co-facilitates the IPA Peer Development Group as well as a local development professional group. She also serves on the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance's Public Policy Committee. Prior to joining the Community Foundation she was the Development Director for the Monroe County Habitat for Humanity affiliate, a nationally recognized Affiliate of Distinction since 2010, and was responsible for fundraising, marketing, and communications. She and her husband Joel have called Bloomington home for the last 20 years, where they live with their three young children. 

William A. Rhodehamel, a native Hoosier with a diverse background in small business and nonprofits, has been the third CEO of the Hendricks County Community Foundation since 2012. He has been studying and pursuing the best practices in nonprofit governance for over 25 years and has experience as a founder, president, CEO, and trustee with multiple organizations in Indiana, including Hoosier Orchid Company, Riviera Club, and Fleming & Associates Calibration. He lives with his family in northeastern Hendricks County in an updated 1848 farmhouse.
