Boards that lead with purpose share a passion for their cause. Did you know there are over 1,900 nonprofit organizations in Central Indiana? In this session, individuals interested in serving on a nonprofit board will explore their personal passions and learn how and where to find meaningful board service opportunities in their community.
About the Series
The Lead with Purpose training series prepares individuals to apply their skills, interests, and experiences in effective nonprofit board service.
Participants completing this eight-session, interactive, virtual series will:
- Be prepared to lead in the nonprofit boardroom
- Receive tools for immediate use
- Gain access to continued board support and resources through a LinkedIn Lead with Purpose Alumni group
- Be invited to quarterly “Ask an Expert” virtual sessions with a BoardSource Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant from Hedges
This training series is designed for individuals new to or interested in nonprofit board service, seasoned board members looking to further enhance their impact as a board member, and those preparing for board leadership in officer and committee chair roles.
All are interactive, virtual sessions from 10:30am – 12:00pm ET, with an optional 30-minute Q&A from 12:00pm – 12:30pm ET.

Cost: $400 for the series of eight 90-minute trainings; $60 for one 90-minute training
