Exploring Community Insight, a new online community data platform

We’re proud to introduce Community Insight, a new, online platform for displaying data about local communities, understanding community opportunities and needs, and targeting efforts for advancing equity. The platform offers a variety of views, drawing on multiple datasets from a range of systems and institutions on topics like education, health, economic opportunity, population demographics, and more.

The Johnson Center has offered robust research services and tools grounded in data for over 20 years. Community Insight represents a new milestone in our mission to help people and organizations understand, strengthen, and advance philanthropy. Community Insight is a more powerful and equity-centered platform than our existing Community Profiles interactive data tool, which will itself be phased out in the coming months.
