Building a Just and Equitable Future: Grantmakers in Health Annual Conference
The Grantmakers In Health Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy is the largest annual gathering of health funders in the country, and the best place to learn from seasoned experts and philanthropic leadership and exchange information, ideas, and insights with colleagues. We look forward to seeing you online for our 2021 annual conference, June 8-11!
About the Conference
2020 was a turbulent year—one which illustrated numerous inequities that inhibit our ability to achieve better health through better philanthropy. These disparities are directly related to the health care system, our public health infrastructure, and to the social and structural factors that drive health outcomes. The challenges highlighted this year provide an opportunity to reimagine and restructure the way we design and implement efforts to improve health outcomes, and philanthropic institutions are well positioned to help lead the way.
This year’s annual conference will provide a space for health funders to come together and share how they responded to the challenges presented in 2020, exchange lessons learned, and discuss how to partner with allies to implement sustainable changes that lead to better health for all. The conference will also offer an opportunity to think critically and creatively about how foundations can continue to adapt to the changing landscape to build a more just and equitable future.
Who Should Attend
The GIH annual conference is open to the staff and trustees of foundations, corporate giving programs, and other grantmaking institutions; the staff of philanthropy-serving organizations; and the faculty and staff of academic institutions who are working on projects related to philanthropy or health.
