On April 29-30, qualified donors are invited to join The Philanthropy Roundtable and Indiana Philanthropy Alliance in Indianapolis for a special event dedicated to exploring how funders can support the growth and development of exceptional community and technical colleges. This conference is funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. and Lumina Foundation.

Across the country, model community colleges are developing new ways to equip their communities to meet the needs of today’s labor markets. Leading innovators are replacing the tired image of the “junior college” with a dynamic model that delivers just-in-time education and skills training. These community and technical college models are fueling economic prosperity in their region by equipping non-traditional students with the ability to build their own wealth and secure a meaningful career.

Their reach is significant. Community colleges serve most of America’s underrepresented student populations, enroll one-third of the nation’s nearly 20 million undergraduates, and offer fertile ground for leveraged philanthropic investments.
