Crown Point Community Foundation Awards 15 Grants in June Cycle
The Crown Point Community Foundation awarded $87,375.00 in grants to the community as part of its June Grant Cycle. These 15 grants will enrich the lives of residents throughout South Lake County: Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell (Tri-Creek Townships), and Winfield, from helping Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana deliver nutritious meals with a wellness check to primarily low-income seniors in South Lake County to helping White’s Residential & Family Services provide comprehensive support to foster families and children.
In addition, the CPCF awarded a $4,000 proactive grant to the City of Crown Point in support of the 4th of July Parade and performance by the Jesse White Tumblers. Community grants are made possible by donors who create Unrestricted Endowment Funds to support South Lake County causes and entrust the CPCF to allocate those funds to a broad range of community projects and needs.
