The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is seeking candidates to fill the position of Marketing & Communications Officer. The Marketing & Communications Officer takes a lead role in assessing the Foundation’s marketing and communications needs and strategically develops a marketing plan that adheres to the HCCF brand and effectively communicates key messaging. The Marketing & Communications Officer executes the day-to-day implementation and project management of the marketing plan and editorial calendar across various channels under the supervision of the Director of Development.

The position requires excellent writing skills to produce press releases, annual report articles, content for social media and website, speeches, and other messaging for external audiences. Creativity and experience using a broad range of communication tools and platforms, including both digital and print, are needed. Familiarity with website management, social media management, and content development is essential to this role. Project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects are crucial. The Marketing & Communications Officer will work in partnership with other staff members in a collaborative team environment and will interact with volunteers, donors, media outlets, and the community at large. Preference for candidates with strong computer, technology, and IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other media specialty software. The ability to capture photos and videos as well as produce short videos is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a similar program of study, plus three years of experience in marketing or communications, is required. Other relevant experience or advanced education may be considered in lieu of marketing/communications-specific experience for otherwise qualified candidates.

This is a full-time in-person position with health insurance, life insurance, and retirement benefits offered.

Starting salary is $52,000.
