Role Overview

The CoC Network Engagement Analyst contributes to fulfilling the IHCDA mission and meeting strategic and annual IHCDA operational and program goals by providing logistical and communications support for the Indiana Balance of State CoC Board, Regional Planning Councils, and Coordinated Entry Leads. This position will contribute to IHCDA and its partners, aiming to reduce the number of people experiencing homelessness by connecting them to permanent housing and by ensuring that homelessness, when experienced, is rare, brief, and non-recurring.   

Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:

Balance of State Continuum of Care (BoS CoC) Strategy

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of HUD regulations regarding the roles and responsibilities of the Continuum of Care and Collaborative Applicant.
  • Stay abreast of upcoming changes in national policy, and plan to meet any arising challenges or opportunities.
  • Track and apply national and state trends, promising practices, and legislation.

Provide logistical planning and coordination for all BOS CoC events

  • Work with internal and external partners to plan and implement two network training conferences each year, called Development Days.
  • Work with team to plan logistics for trainings and events for subgrantees, HMIS users, RPCs, CE Leads, and other groups, as requested. 
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to coordinate regional PIT counts around the state, including training, communicating, and event planning for the PIT count day.

Communicate effectively with BOS CoC members and clients

  • Draft regular IHCDA communication to the CoC and its various constituencies, including maintaining up-to-date contact lists by stakeholder group.
  • Draft the IHCDA staff e-newsletter to provide program and training reminders and raise awareness of state and national opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Manager and other IHCDA departments as needed to respond to subgrantee/client questions.
  • Manage the Homelessness@IHCDA email inbox in a timely manner and keep records of phone and email communications with constituents and stakeholders.
  • Elevate constituent and stakeholder issues at appropriate times.
  • Anticipate conflicts and facilitate resolution amongst stakeholders and constituents.
  • Monitor and draft regular updates for the homeless services pages on the IHCDA website.
  • Develop stories for IHCDA magazine and other communications pathways.
  • Present about the BOS CoC, CE, and IHCDA to partners across the state, as requested.

General

  • Provide meeting facilitation and high-quality note-taking services for planning meetings as requested.
  • Create and update SOPs for your job duties.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Seek out professional development to stay current in the field.
  • Respond to requests for information from IHCDA Leadership, State Leadership and Federal Partners.

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in event planning, project management; marketing, and/or public relations required;  experience working with vulnerable populations preferred. 
  • Effective communication skills in both written and oral presentation.
  • Highly collaborative style, works well with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education, and economic levels.
  • Demonstrates customer service orientation.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of client and agency information.
