Back to Basics: Why Basic Civics Impacts Outcomes

Hear from a team of Indiana leaders as they discuss the importance of civic participation and share examples of how funders and corporations can engage in civic efforts. Chuck Dunlap, Executive Director of the Indiana Bar Foundation and co-author of the 2019 Indiana Civic Health Index, will review the report’s findings and recommendations and discuss how they relate to the work of Indiana philanthropy. Sheila Kennedy, professor of law & public policy, will explore how civic literacy relates to all avenues for service and community development.
