SCCF's Toppe Named Align Southern Indiana Board Secretary

Jaime Toppe, the executive director of the Scott County Community Foundation, was named secretary for the Align Southern Indiana (ASI) Board of Directors for the coming year.

Other officers named for the next year were Pam Bennett Martin (Chairman), S. Butch Shaw (Vice Chairman) and John P. Lawson, Jr. (Treasurer). They all officially began their positions on July 1.

“Align Southern Indiana is grateful and excited to have this group of individuals bring their unique talents, expertise and perspectives to lead the work of the organization in order to further our visions of aligning resources, addressing needs, and producing sustainable solutions that result in our region achieving its potential as a best place to live, work and play,” Rita Shourds, president and CEO of Align Southern Indiana, said.

Toppe is the Executive Director of the Scott County Community Foundation. She earned an A.A.S. in business administration from Ivy Tech State College, B.A. in sociology from Indiana University Southeast, and graduate certificate in nonprofit management from IUPUI. She has also been accepted in the Master of Public Affairs program at Indiana University. Jaime served in the Indiana Army National Guard for over 12 years, including one year in Afghanistan. She enjoys many volunteer opportunities through work, including serving as a board member/Secretary of the Scott County Partnership and volunteering in the schools for mock interviews, Kiwanis Club vision screenings, Reality Store, Career Clusters, bully prevention classes, and other life skills.

Align Southern Indiana was founded in 2017 to actively facilitate a shared regional process that aligns resources, addresses needs, and produces sustainable solutions resulting in Clark and Floyd County in Southern Indiana achieving its potential as a best place to live, work, and play.
