Legacy Foundation has promoted Erica Fizer to donor engagement director and Maranda Engquist to marketing and communications manager.

“Legacy Foundation’s Board of Directors and I agree that both Maranda and Erica are excellent choices for these positions. They bring community foundation expertise and knowledge through their previous roles at Legacy Foundation,” said Legacy Foundation President and CEO Carolyn Saxton.

Both Erica and Maranda began their careers at Legacy Foundation in 2012 and 2015 respectively as part of the Community Foundation Internship, a program of Indiana Philanthropy Alliance funded by Lilly Endowment Inc.

Erica Fizer previously served as director of marketing and communications. Most recently, Erica set the strategy for enhancing the Foundation’s image and position in the community through comprehensive marketing plans and signature events. In her new role, Erica will work closely with the Foundation’s executive leadership team and board of directors to implement asset development strategies and strengthen relationships with prospective and existing donors.

Maranda Engquist previously served as community engagement coordinator. Maranda, in her prior role, was responsible for outreach efforts for the Foundation’s signature community programs – including, Rise NWI, 2020 Census Campaign, Our Shot 219, On the Table, and Conscious Conversations. Now, Maranda will focus her efforts on public relations messaging and marketing across all Foundation departments.

Erica received a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington, M.P.A. in human services and graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Indiana University Northwest. Maranda earned her B.S. in hospitality and tourism management and M.B.A. from Purdue University Northwest.
