IPA Welcomes New Staff, Celebrates Promotion

Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) CEO Claudia Cummings announces a staff promotion and welcomes two new team members. 

Lissa Silotto has recently been promoted to director of marketing and communications. New staff appointments include Adam Forrer as engagement manager, and Michael Tucker as operations manager.

“It is an exciting year to expand on the skills of our talented staff, especially as we celebrate IPA’s 30th anniversary and carryout a new strategic plan,” said Cummings. “The diverse backgrounds and collective knowledge of our team will serve us well in IPA’s efforts to best support Indiana’s many social investors.”

Adam Forrer joins IPA after working as the Atlantic region manager at the Southeastern Wind Coalition, a nonprofit working to advance wind energy in the Southeast. He has also worked for the National Audubon Society and the Sierra Club on conservation and energy policy. Adam graduated from George Washington University with a Masters in Environmental Resource Policy. 

Michael Tucker previously served as a performance consultant for the City of Indianapolis in the Office of Audit and Performance under Mayor Joseph Hogsett, where his work centered on maximizing efficiencies City-County wide. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University, and has a Project Management Professional Certificate through the Project Management Institute (PMI), a Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Lean Certificate. 

Lissa Silotto has been with IPA since 2016 and serves as a member of United Philanthropy Forum’s (Forum) Knowledge Management Collaborative, which unites philanthropy-serving organizations across the country in an effort to improve a shared CRM and website technology platform. Prior to joining IPA, Lissa worked as a marketing associate with Indianapolis-based design firm American Structurepoint, where she helped lead corporate social responsibility and employee engagement efforts. Lissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and has a background in museum public relations.
