Foellinger Foundation is all about supporting, strengthening and inspiring nonprofit leadership. In 2016, to further this commitment, the foundation created the Helene Foellinger Leadership Development Initiative, supporting the Foellinger Leadership Lab and the Barbara Burt Innovative Leader Fund.

The Foellinger Leadership Lab is home to two programs: Executive Leader Program and Rising Leader Program. Both programs are custom-tailored, 12-month experiences that build adaptive leadership skills. On April 18, the third cohort of Rising Leaders celebrated at an Achievement Ceremony. Participants included:

Ewelina Connolly and Jordan Crouch from Amani Family Services; Tahnea Cayce and Alexandria Clinger from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana; Bernard Lane and Jarrod Williams from Blue Jacket; Cheryl Dafforn from Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana; Nyein Chan from Catholic Charities; Anne Hall and Jessica Smith from Community Transportation Network; Joni Dietsch and Sarah Garrison from Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana; Stasha Carrasquillo and Rena Shown from Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities; and Sarah Neace and Erin Ness from Vincent Village.

“We developed the Rising Leader Program specifically for the non-CEO’s of nonprofits. We are pleased that more than 40 Rising Leaders have participated in the program to date and look forward to continuing to support them as they help run Allen County’s nonprofit organizations,” said Cheryl Taylor, Foellinger Foundation President.

The Rising Leader Program includes classroom and out-of-classroom work and several different experiential learning opportunities. To learn more visit, https://www.foellinger.org/foellinger-leadership-lab.
