Foellinger awards nearly one million dollars for local youth development

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

The Foellinger Foundation has approved grants totaling $995,500 to enrich the lives of young people and families in Allen County.

“The Foundation’s strategy is to support effective nonprofits,” said Cheryl Taylor, Foundation President. “The grantees on the list reflect the Foundation’s emphasis on funding nonprofits led by adaptive board and staff leaders whose organizations make Allen County a better place.”

The grants fall under the Youth Development category, which reflects the Foundation’s focus on children and their families, especially those with the greatest need and least opportunity. This reflects the Foundation’s emphasis on fulfilling the wishes of its founders, Helene and Esther Foellinger.
