Don Wood Foundation Announces Quarter 2 Grant Recipients

The Don Wood Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to advancing manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and related education in the region, has issued 10 grants for area programs in the second quarter of 2023. These grants will help fund engineering technology education and encourage entrepreneurship for both traditional and adults. 

Recipients include:

  • Area 18 CTE Cooperative for the Preparing for College and Career (PCC) exploration pilot program for middle school students
  • Area 18 CTE Cooperative - Jay County for their Alternative Entrepreneurship Program for high school students
  • Area 18 CTE Cooperative - Northern Wells for precision machining for high school students
  • Area 18 CTE Cooperative - Southern Wells for their Engineering Pathway program for high school students
  • Central Nine Career Center for a Next-Generation Manufacturing System for high school students
  • Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. for their Bridge Program for adults
  • Huntington University, Inc. for a Mechanical Engineering Technology planning grant for traditional college-aged students
  • Launch Hope Foundation, Inc. for their Entrepreneurship Education and Business Accelerator for adults
  • Questa Foundation for Education, Inc. for their Inspiring Northeast Indiana Residents with Educational Resources program for traditional college-aged students
  • SEED Fort Wayne for their NEXT Studios Discovery Accelerator for adults
