CFSI Lilly Scholarship Applications

Thursday, August 3, 2017

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (August 1, 2017) – Beginning August 1, high school students throughout Clark and Floyd counties will have the opportunity to apply to receive generous, well-earned four-year scholarships through the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. The scholarships are the result of a statewide Lilly Endowment, Inc. initiative to help Indiana students attain higher levels of education.

This year, 2 students each from Clark and Floyd Counties will be chosen to be Lilly Endowment Community Scholars and receive the gift of a four-year scholarship. In addition to full tuition to the accredited Indiana college or university of their choice, the students will receive a $900 annual stipend for books and equipment.

“We couldn’t be more thankful to the Lilly Endowment for their generosity and continued support of our foundation and this community,” said Crystal Gunther, director of community philanthropy for the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. “These scholarships provide life-changing opportunities that will help four seniors in our community to continue their education and pursue their dreams.”

The online application will open August 1 on the Community Foundation’s website at www.cfsouthernindiana.com. Completed applications will be due to the Community Foundation by noon on September 11.

The applications for all other donor-established scholarships administered through the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana will be available in early December 2017 with completed applications due on January 31st at noon.
