Bacon Joins IPA as Engagement Manager

Indiana Philanthropy Alliance is proud to announce the appointment of Aaron Bacon as engagement manager, reinforcing its dedication to empowering philanthropy to lead positive change and improve outcomes for Hoosiers.

In his new role, Bacon will play a vital part in advancing IPA's mission by supporting membership, public policy, fundraising activities, and events, including the esteemed Mutz Philanthropic Leadership Institute. By leveraging his experience and skills, he will contribute to IPA's goal of nurturing the growth and impact of philanthropy. 

"This role is paramount in driving the success of our membership organization and bolstering our collective mission to empower transformative philanthropy that makes a meaningful difference in communities throughout Indiana,” said Claudia Cummings, President/CEO of IPA. “I look forward to introducing Aaron at IPA’s upcoming Regional Forums held across the state.”

Bacon previously served as the membership manager at the Indiana Department of the American Legion. His experience includes positions such as director of strategic operations at the Indiana War Memorial Commission, deputy director of the Indiana Board of Depositories, and operations manager of the Indiana Education Savings Authority and Indiana ABLE Authority.

Bacon holds a baccalaureate degree focused on civic leadership and an associate's degree in culinary sciences. As a U.S. Army veteran, he served as an infantryman in Germany and Iraq from 2006 to 2008.
