Operations Associate - This position is responsible for recording activity and paying grantees/vendors in coordination with the operations department for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF); its affiliates The Indianapolis Foundation and Hamilton County Community Foundation; and Women’s Fund of Central Indiana

What We’re Looking For: This position is responsible for recording activity and paying grantees/vendors in coordination with the operations department for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF); its affiliates The Indianapolis Foundation and Hamilton County Community Foundation; and Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. This is a position of importance due to the incumbent’s access to confidential information and plans related to the operation of the Foundation. Incumbent must possess highly developed organizational skills and must maintain high standards of ethics and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Manages and coordinates grants tracking, processing, and issuing payments via checks and ACH. This includes: maintenance of grantee data; conducting preliminary due diligence; processing grant payments and reports; preparing grant related reports and correspondence for board and staff.
  • Performs the accounts payable function, which includes processing invoices, issuing payments; and maintaining vendor data and files for CICF and related supporting organizations.
  • Assists the operations department with various administrative projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.   
  • Understanding and adherence to high standards of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet designated deadlines.
  • Possesses a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and workload prioritizing skills.
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment, including computer-based word processing and spreadsheet packages, proficiency with MS Office products preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, some college or business school training is preferred.
